In Search of Shanti is the collaboration between pianist and composer Aljoša Kavčič and guitarist Luka Debelić, both from Slovenia and based in Vienna, Austria.
Together with double bass, drums and trumpet, they play original music rooted in contemporary European jazz.
The music moves between lyrical contemporary jazz, modern harmonic language and open improvisational interplay, with a strong emphasis on melody, atmosphere and collective interaction.
The debut album, In Search of Shanti, was recorded at Artesuono Studio in Italy with Stefano Amerio and will be released internationally by Unit Records on 11 June 2027. It will first be presented at the 2027 Ljubljana Jazz Festival, with European dates being routed around the release for July to September 2027.
